I gave a PowerPoint presentation at a professional conference last week. People are asking me for copies of it and I’d like to put a link to it on my blog so they can just download it.
Can anybody recommend a good free file hosting service? The file is only about 2Mb in size.
Thanks, Revtim. Unfortunately you seem to have to pay a fee in order to SHARE the files hosted on Yahoo Briefcase. I’m looking for something free.
Does anybody have any experience with MediaFire?
I’ve used www.zshare.net for this. Very easy to use, no registration or fee required because it’s advertising-funded. They say that files you upload stay there unless nobody downloads them for 60 days.
mailbigfile.com has worked for me. 512 MB file limit is free, they sell subscriptions for larger limits. Can’t promise they don’t mine email addresses, but I’ve used this with a couple of customers with no complaints.
Check with the ISP that provides you internet access. Most accounts also include a certain amount of file space.

Seems like this is sorted, but for the record Mediafire seems to work pretty well and is fast and absolutely free.
