Frequent error message

Over the past week or so, I’ve frequently gotten an error message when trying to click a board link:

Your connection is not secure

The owner of boards.straightdope.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
It boots me back to the previous page, and often when I repeat my request, it goes through.

Anybody else experiencing this? I am using AdBlockPlus, full disclosure, but it’s not preventing me from seeing ads on the board.

Make sure you are browsing the board from http and not https. You get that error if the link has https in it and not http since the SDMB isn’t set up for https.

I think it started with Chrome, but Firefox does it now too. Basically, the later versions of these complain since we are not using https but we have a login box on the page.

It’s still popping up from time to time, and I’m certainly not deliberately using https. How do I get to stop?
