I was in London last weekend. My ship had been tasked to drop off 300 sea cadets for the Trafalgar day festivities. We made our passage up the Thames in the late evening when the city was looking spectacular. Through the Thames barrier, quite a squeeze! then were moored at Greenwich. Lovely.
The following day dawned clear and crisp the City lay before the fine crew of RFA Largs Bay in all its splendid glory, steeped in history. Close at hand we have the Meridian and the observatory, further afield visible from the upper deck, St Pauls and Tower bridge. The question is what to do?
All this culture, history and art…
So akin the world over we got totally drunk. Even by my standards, and I like a tipple or two, we were drunk. So for the first Friday in a long time i’m sat on board in my cabin sober… Its ok I suppose
