Friend met an online girlfriend. What's the probability it is legit?

Several times a month, I get random hot women liking my posts on Facebook, and sending me friend requests, when we have literally nothing in common - no mutual friends, no mutual hobbies or groups, we don’t live in the same city, province, or even country. It’s clear to me that these are all scam artists of some sort, but to someone slightly stupider and less self-aware, I can see how they might fall for it.

I’ve encountered two of those:

Seems my Facebook page attracted the attention of a Russian dating scammer. I suspected as much from the odd hours and broken English; confirmed the suspicion with a reverse image search.

I think another one tried to get their hooks in me; this one only had a picture of a bunch of flowers on a white background associated with their profile so nothing that could be reverse searched. I decided to delete the post that had been attracting 'em.
