They’ve had John Scott in that tube thing the entire time? I had forgotten they had him there(like a lot of episodes ago).
I’m guessing they are building a machine that can teleport Mr. Jones out of his prison.

Ok, so I missed most of the earlier episode about the guy in the jail. Why is he so important?
We’re not sure, but he’s a major factor in the Pattern.
This episode was mainly about multiple story lines meeting and giving us a little cliffhanger before the hiatus.
Still, I really like this show!

But why did we even know him the first place. I only caught a little bit of the episode, I just remember he had some important info.
In episode 7, In Which We Meet Mr. Jones, Jones knew the chemical combination that would kill the parasite that was wrapped around the heart of Agent Loeb (a mole for the bad guys). Jones supplied that information in exchange for the answer to the question “Where does the gentleman live?”
That answer (“Little Hill”) came from Peter being hard-wire connected to the head of the newly dead compatriot of Jones. Little Hill, as we know from this episode, is where Jones was teleported to. Why it had to be this location is not yet known.
I liked how this episode built on both episode 7, and episode 8 The Equation, where the technology to walk through solid walls was achieved.
I didn’t see the Observer in this week’s episode, though I read that he appeared early in the episode on one of the bank monitors. I’ll have to search for a previous Fringe thread where someone had a link to screen caps of all the Observer sightings.
While watching, I thought I saw a watcher on the bank security monitor (he wears a wide brimmed hat of some sort?) . In fact, I thought the crew of baddies was going to be a crew of watchers. Have to go back and see again on the DVR.
Screen grab for ya - link. Was right at the start, just afore the monitors got turned off.
Wouldn’t the guy stuck in the wall have died pretty quickly on his own? I would think since the wall solidified partly through his chest it would have prevented him from breathing by expanding his diaphragm and it would have been a lot more difficult for him to talk. He would have at least been in a lot more distress than he was.
And how do you get rid of a body fused to thick steel wall like that? Can’t just leave him there, it would be bad for customer relations, “Here’s your deposit box, don’t mind the rotting body hanging from the wall.”
Thanks!
I thought he’d die immediately too. Wouldn’t it be about equivalent to getting his chest crushed by being run over by a semi-truck? Well. Maybe not, due to the concrete and liver atoms simply being intermingled, but that’s what I was expecting. Perhaps the resulting gush of blood from the mouth would’ve been a bit too graphic for prime time.
But thankfully, severing the arm is not…
