Front row. Flogging Molly. I'm too old for this shit.

Irish Fair in Saint Paul Minnesota is a thing of beauty. I was up in the pit, two to three layers from the front row, and I am 41 friggen years old! I had 20 years on every kid around me. I have fooled you all. All of you suckers that clicked into this thread are suckers. I am not too old. Every 41 year old should be where I was tonight.

I’m not too old for it. I had more fun than I’ve had for years. Everyone on the planet should go to the Irish Fair in Saint Paul. It’s free. And it’s a friggen blast.

My sister and brother-in-law went to see them as well at the Irish Festival. He just turned 50 (as I will next year). I need to see how they enjoyed it. It sounds like you did. Great!

Nah, we’re not too old for all this shit. It just hurts more the next day.

I love this thread… I am a sucker, and I feel ancient at every single concert full of 17 year olds I end up at, but I love this thread.

Being up front at a concert is THE way to see rock and roll. When the stage fills your whole field of vision, the sound pummels your body, and you can look the performers in the eye and get a reaction…

Being any farther back, it’s just not the same, 'specially nowadays when people go to shows and chatter away for two hours. I’ve been to gigs where the murmur of the crowd made it hard to listen to the band…yuck!

Damn I am sore this morning. What the hell happened to my neck? And why am I hungover?

well, I know why I’m hungover. But I still don’t know what happened to my neck.

last halloween I picked up a totally new mosh injury, I split my eyebrow open with the back of some ones head…yeah moshing at a halloween show with MY blood all over my face. It was great.

One of my friends is learning violin and wanted me to learn a Flogging Molly song on guitar. “Float,” apparently. I’ve only heard it once, on her boombox (hee hee), but I liked what I heard. I’ll have to give them more of a listenin’.

Damned skippy you’re not too old! Last time I was up front at a Pogues show, there were folks older than my parents right next to us (I’m 41).

Hell yeah.

Glad you had fun!

They played Free there? Damn! I love seeing them live although I’ve always payed for the priveledge.

I am jealous, I love seeing Flogging Molley play, but I never get to see them play for free!

Also, front row is totally the way to go especially at a small venue. If I didn’t have friends/a fiance/a job that forced me to get their later, I would be showing up to every show I go to a minimum of 3 hours early to make sure I get a front spot.

Lastly, you have 16 years on me and if I saw you in a crowd I would not think you were too old…as long as you were rockin out.

Rock on with your bad self!

I thought this thread was going to be about Paul Reubens.

I guess I should specify that it wasn’t as much a front row, and the front layer of the mosh pit. I was so sweaty when it was over. And a lot of the sweat wasn’t mine.
