Thanks for the links, I always try to rattle these off from memory of my own readings and experience. The How Stuff Works list is not complete, but a very good start.

{Drew Carrey} “Fuck the grandkids. I’m cold now.”{Drew Carrey}
Glad to be of service.
No. It is getting warmer due to sun activity. This is a regularly occuring phenomenon and we have nothing to do with it.
People found that there was money to be made screaming about how humans are responsible for global warming. Others were gullible enough to believe it.
How far in the sand do you have your head buried?
Glad to know you know more about it than the vast majority of scientists. Wonderful you can ignore the UN report. Nice that you can ignore that our best ally is taking the leadership position on this issue.
Wake up and try reading up on a subject before you make your ignorant protestations.
Jim
What do we call the opposite of an ice age? A heat age?
Is there geologic evidence of previous heat ages?
Only partly being facetious. I admit I haven’t done a whole lot of reading on the global warming issue.
Not exclusively, it’s not.
Please explain how climatologists, who are quite sure global warming is human-caused and who came up with the idea in the first place, are making any money from this? In fact, who exactly is making money from it and how? If there’s any money to be made it would be from a successful fact-based demolition of the hypothesis which would certainly win a Nobel prize or equivalent given the current state of play.
Surely some one with your obvious expertise should be participating in this thread.
Can’t wait to see your learned contributions!

CMC fnord!
Buy carbon credits…
…from Al Gore’s carbon-credit company…

Sigh. I offer you the same suggestion. Don’t just blindly assume that it’s true. When people like Algore are making big bucks off of something, that is a solid reason to be skeptical about it.
And ignoring anything coming out of the UN is a good thing to do. You might try it sometime.
 Yes, because I foolishly base my science credibility on fly-by-night rags with agendas like Scientific America and the New Scientist.
BTW: did you read your own cites:
Notice the second line of your article.
fathersforlife.org is not even a credible scientific link. I play more later.

It would be nice if this link actually linked the the study mentioned.
I found this Googling and it seems to indicate the study is from 1995 and probably superceded by newer Ice Core samplings done in the last 5 years.
'*Zat * what Hannity’s been telling you to think?
Stick a “not” in there somewhere. People have found that there is money to be made, from ExxonMobil most notably, screaming about how it’s all unproven “fake science”. Others have been gullible enough to believe that.
Yes, and those self-same people have found there is money to be made by touting how the world of the future may suffer a carbon debt, and by inflating claims about Ethanol’s “carbon kindness” they can make even more moolah.
Right now though, still others are suffering from the Maize Three-Card Monte.
That link reports on a rise in tortilla prices in Mexico. Care to explain the connection?
You ever eaten a tortilla made of switchgrass?
As opposed to the oil companies and car manufacturers, who are just arguing for the status quo out of the goodness of their hearts, right?
Are you really that fucking stupid?
Nitpick alert
I am firmly on the Global Warming can be slowed and even stopped side, however, car manufacturers are not overall on the same side of Exxon. Many are in favor of new tech and GM and Ford do not seem to be resisting the idea at all.
Exxon is one of the largest corporations firmly fighting the concept of Global Warming being caused by human activity. BP is on the opposite end of the fight and indeed they are trying to position themselves to make money from Oil or Alternatives.
When fighting ignorance, it is better to have your facts correct. It provides less ammo for the willfully ignorant which is what I firmly believe **Clothahump ** is in this case.
Jim
In fairness, even ExxonMobil has backed off somewhat, and even has stopped financing the doubt campaign (which now has legs of its own, unfortunately). BP seems merely further along in recognizing reality and taking a longer view of their corporate future.
