Fuck Off with your Feigned Outrage and Shock over Spying

Yeah, thinking that the head of the agency knows about the agency is just zany! Especially if you make a 1984 reference. That makes it double-plus-zany!

You’re under the impression that international relations and alliances are based on unbreakable pinkie-swears or something?

Me too. You’re a dolt, I’m not.

From your cite:

But, of course, he’s about as knowledgeable as a mailman.

So would you feel better if a manned aircraft had delivered the munitions? The difference between the two scenarios definitely sinks to the “meh” level.

Why the feigned öutrage"? the US DOJ has committed much worse crimes-and nobody talks about them-how about “Fast and Furious”-dozens of state and federal laws broken-and Eric Holder’s reaction? Nothing to see here!

What state and federal laws were broken in Fast and Furious?

When you said:

I assumed you were talking about drone killings.

I was talking about the practice in general, yes. Don’t be dense.

“meh”

The issue is not about who’s more knowledgeable - not even who is more credible - the issue is it is not ex-head of France’s spy program to say it’s all good because… well, we’ve been doing it and everyone else is doing it. It’s not his call to make and same goes for NSA chief.

If he’s so cool about it why didn’t he talk about that to the Congress and various committees before but it took a Snowden’s leak for all of that to come ashore.

Dolt is someone who mixes up argument of force with force of the argument.

Because Congress didn’t ask him to?

Great answer

In other words, I like war in Iraq but I don’t like hundreds of innocent lives lost. In general, practice of unprovoked war is great but not so great when innocent people die.

Got it!

By the way… it takes a blogger journalist to explain it - Michael Hayden, the Voice of Terror

“In other words” nothing. I said nothing about the war in Iraq. I was against it from the beginning and I remain so. Address my actual words, if you like. Don’t lie about what they were.

That was a lame attempt at analogy of your attitude toward issue of drone killings - I have no idea what your views were/are re: Iraq war.

From the column:

So vote for people who swear to dismantle and end the NSA. See if they win democratic elections on that platform. If the do and fail to perform, vote them out and vote in the next guy on that platform. The NSA doesn’t exist on its own; it’s funded by the legislature and directed by the executive.

I suspect you’ll find the platform to be an untenable one and learn that the democratically elected government (and people who elect them) are happy with its intelligence apparatus rather than spooky insinuations of it being “controlled” by them.

How about:
-exporting automatic firearms without a valid license
-transporting automatic firearms across state lines
-transfer of firearms to convicted felons
probably a few more, but when did Eric Holder ever bother about such things? he’s too busy worrying about the police violating the civil rights of minority criminals.

The ATF didn’t break any of those laws, moron. The point of the operation was to surveil civilians who were breaking them.
