Fuck YOU America, Fuck you.

Unbelievable. What the fuck is up with the Canadian inferioty complex? Some Canadians feel compelled to defend themselves against accusations that Americans haven’t even made. If they are so proud of their country why are they so paranoid about American perceptions? I’m waiting for Satz’s next rant taking the weather channel to task for mentioning that a blizard that’s hitting the midwest came south from Canada.

You want to know what Americans think of Canada? We don’t. At least not often. But if a certain segment of the Canadian population doesn’t stop it’s paranoid caterwalling, then your reputation will suffer south of the border.

Now grow a spine and quit obsessing over what we think of you.

American representative stands up and clears his throat

American Representative: Fuck Canada!

With all their hockey hullaballoo,
And that bitch Anne Murray too!
Blame Canada!
Blame Canada!

:stuck_out_tongue:

** Satz**: There’s no need to get your long underwear in a wad because the infected animal came from Canada. Nobody’s criticizing Canada because of this. Shit happens, and we all know that.

Lighten up and you’ll live to see more Canadian sunsets.

Speaking as a Canadian, this one for me isn’t really about an inferiority complex. The fact of the matter is, if Mexico and the United States keep their borders closed and don’t allow Canadian Beef to cross, there will be a lot of people up here whose livlihood will be (or will continue to be) in serious trouble.

Personally, I think the best thing to do for all involved, is figure out how to fix the problem - which I think (or hope) is what is going to happen.

Well then, it seems all we need to do is find the cure for BSE.

What’s that you say? Scientists have been working around the clock and spending billions of dollars and public and private money trying to find a cure for more than a decade?

Well then I guess we’ll just have to quarantine infected cows until we figure that fucker out.

That isn’t exactly what I meant.

The United States Department of Agriculture said:

Which is hardly inflammatory rhetoric

Nor is this

So, the USDA doen’t seem to advocating blaming it on beaver.

Even “fair and balanced” Foxnews, seems to be off the hook

Investigators have tentatively traced the first U.S. cow with mad cow disease to Canada. This could help determine the scope of the outbreak and might even limit the economic damage to the American beef industry.

The tentative finding traced the cow to Alberta, the same Canadian province where scientists found a lone cow infected with the illness in May.

DeHaven stressed that officials still haven’t confirmed this because U.S. records outlining the animal’s history do not match ones in Canada. Canadian officials have said it was premature to reach a firm conclusion.
If there is any anti-Canadian feeling out there, it’s hard to see

Canada is that big thingy between us and Alaska, right?
Do they still make those crappy coins that are the same size as ours but aren’t worth as much?

When are we going to finally annex them and get the French language instructions off of my toothpaste?

When you pry the stick from my cold, dead hands. I don’t care if it is dead last in ratings in the States, hockey is God’s own sport, and until my fellow Americans learn this, I say God bless those hosers.

One thing I don´t understand is how could there be new Mad Cow Disease cases, are they still feeding the cows with cow meat? Isn´t that just stupid? What´s so bad about grass anyway??

You know, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Yes, we’re the ever evil America but honest (if I may speak for the media, gov., etc), we’re just trying to figure out this BSE problem.

On a side note, I was unaware that as an American, I was supposed to dislike Canada. Canada has always been like a quiet cousin in my mind. Sure we don’t visit often and they do some things a little differently, but they’re nice and have cute accents.

But if I’m supposed to persecute them, I suppose there’s no time like the present to start that project. Emmmm, hey you Canadians! That “bacon” of yours is sort of high in sodium and it’s deliciousness tempts me to eat more than is prudent for my blood pressure.

Feel the resentment I have aimed in your direction, ha!

You just gotta love the vitriol these Canadians have. How cute!

Inferiority complex is a huge understatement!

Well, the really good stufff does tend to make you pretty vacant, walk more sideways than forward and stare at not much in particular in fields (during the summer festival season, at least) but that notwithstanding, no one gets CJD or mad cows disease from grass.

BSE has a fairly long (as in years) incubation period. One of the issues is to discover the age of the cow. Initial reports claimed that it was 2 1/2 years old–which should have made it safe from contaminated feed in both the U.S. and Canada. Later reports suggest that it was several years older, indicating that it might have become infected before either the U.S. or Canada imposed the feed restrictions.

The contaminated cow in the States was a Holstein… the one found in Alberta was a different one (I forget which). Basically the Canadian one was a food cow, the American a dairy cow… everything I’ve heard points to that one is not related to the other they are merely from the same province originally. Which as anyone who lives here knows it’s huge and has tons of cows everywhere in the country.

It is bad for the people who’s livelihood depends on cattle, I can only hope my relatives are doing slightly better as they raise Holsteins not beef cattle. The only bonus to it is for us consumers up here we get some damn good cuts for not a whole lot.

It may have initially come from here… but it still seems like the US is blaming Canada.

I still love Alberta Beef

Grass? In Canada? It’s all tundra up there. I thought everyone knew that.

I think this is the funniest post I’ve seen in a while. Thanks for the laugh.

PS - Go Stars.

Laughing? In The BBQ Pit?!

Outrageous!

Why, I’m going to start a Pit thread…
