Fuck you Choplifter Level 3. That is all.

God damn you and your stupid cave level. I’d like to ask the people from Sega who were responsible for inventing this game to pass this level. If they cannot, we should be allowed to beat them in the street with hoses.

That is all.

Is there a new Choplifter out?

I was a serious Choplifter addict back in the 80s… I can still remember the perverse glee of landing my chopper on some poor singed soul!

Unfortunately, no. Yes, I know, 1983 called, they want their game back. But it’s actually a fun game until the nightmarish third level begins.

But thanks to the magic of emulators, I can now tear my hair out all over again. Yay me. :dubious:

Choplifter

Wasn’t it Broderbund? (pretend there’s a little slash through the O)

Or are Sega and Broderbund the same company…?

I used to play that on my Game Boy. I was horrible at it!

Whoa… That’s not what my Choplifter looked like.

I guess this explains my confusion over the caves comment. I didn’t remember any caves.

While we’re at it, Fuck You Midway for your Arcade Classics 2. Yes, you took the ROMs and put them together with an emulator for the console, but then did two mutually unconscionable things:

– Didn’t set the speed right, so nearly every game is at least %20 too fast.
– DIDN’T LEAVE AN OPTION TO TONE DOWN THE SPEED.

sure, Wizard of Wor may look like the same game I played as a youngun, but even the perfect reflexes of a child wouldn’t be able to defeat a monster that traverses the screen in less than a second. This is not the game I played growing up!

Don’t blame Sega. All they did was port the game. The guy you need to blame is Dan Gorlin.

As an aside, I have trouble with that level as well, but it is the hardest level in the game. Get past that and it’s smooth sailing.
