Thanks for dropping in and leaving that brilliant gem and nothing more, that does seem to be your m.o.
My question concerns the deatils about tillman’s death-I heard that he was pleading for the troops (which were shooting in his direction0 to cease fire, Now, I don’t know if Sgt. baker heard this-but are troops in combat supposed to keep firing until ordered to stop?
It strikes me that such a mistake would be doubly tragic, if it was learned that Tillman correctly identified himself, and yet the fire continued.
Seriously, is your shift key broken, or what?

Would you kindly start a pit thread about that? It needs to be addressed.
About what, your staying up all night to come up with that King of Queens-esque joke and add nothing of note to the discussion?
Or the fact that you seem to do it often?
I really wish someone would answer this, for entirely personal reasons.
You should be ashamed for associating a doperism with The King of Queens.
Sure. And for my making a big fuss about it. I want a congressional hearing now!
You’re right, I retract that one- even the worst jokes here are above Kevin James.
My understanding is that the Tillman family believes that the people responsible for killing Pat should be prosecuted for negligent homicide (or similar charge). As for how troops should fire, that, I do believe, is covered by the rules of engagement that they are operating under.
I heard the same, Tuckerfan. Can’t say I agree, but it should be investigated same as any friendly fire incident. And the Tillman’s deserve an answer regarding why they were lied to and used for the U.S. Army’s PR purposes - they deserve to know who were the decision-makers and how the Army will reprimand them.
