Well, if you read the Bible closely, you’ll notice God is pretty stupid.
That’s what THEY think.
The Big Guy knows if you repented for reals, or thought it was just a matter of sayin’ the magic words. Nothin’ like hearing “gotcha ya” coming from the High Throne in the voice of the whirlwind.
I think “inbred” sums up the root of this entire problem. This is Kentucky, after all.
I’m starting to think she’s her own grandmother. This is Kentucky, after all.
God’s throne room has a fringed flag?
God let his own stepson get nailed to a cross and be hung out to dry like a piece of beef jerky, just to forgive everyone else’s sins. The dude is ruthless.
Leftists are allowed to be as misogynist as possible when attacking conservative women. Where have you been?
Bridget Burke is entirely right - Davis’ personal life, including her martial and sexual history, is completely irrelevant. Kim Davis, private citizen, isn’t the issue here; it’s Kim Davis, clerk of Rowan County, who is the problem. You showing your presumably-ironic misogyny doesn’t really add anything to the conversation.
Dude, haven’t you read your membership card? It’s right there on the back, next to the instructions on how to eat babies.
Yes, I’m certain that it happens all the time.
I’ll make this simple for you since apparently you really are as slow as your user name implies; What I object to is the implication that because KD is a woman she is not accountable for her actions because she’s clearly being used as a pawn my men.
See it now?
That’s actually my personal philosophy…erm, I mean my deeply held religious belief. Gods/goddesses that I don’t believe in have no power over me. (And that just happens to mean all of them.)
Wow. That’s some flowchart.
And now, The Oath Keepers are getting involved. This should be good.
Here is an article on her latest appeal.

It mentions the Oath Keepers.
Late Friday, the group posted on its website that Davis’ lawyers declined its offer to protect her from the Marshals, and called on its “security volunteers” to stand down.
“Calling all douchebags, this is Douchebag 1. We have a stand down order from Liberty Eagle 1. How copy, over?”
I certainly plan to!
Damn. You’re right…sorta. Bridget Burke’s comment was in response to a “hunh, hunh, Kim Davis is a ho!” post by YogSosoth, not you. Mea culpa. Bridget’s point about slut shaming is valid, though, and her post wasn’t the stupidest thing in the thread, by a long shot.
Well, credit where it’s due, that was a smart idea, and a wise response.
Unless I’m mistaken, she’s currently married isn’t she? So, by her beliefs, she’s currently living in sin and apparently unrepentant about it. I don’t think you can benefit from forgiveness for a sin if you continue committing that same sin.
This, this, a hundred times this…but with a pinch of what Bridget Burke is saying too. Not about being used by men or that stuff, but about how she’s feeding off this stuff now.
At this point, she thinks she can do no wrong. She feels/thinks she’s the champion of all “true Christian” people. With the amount of attention and publicity and support and possible money from these groups, she’s not going to be stopping any time soon.
I mean, yeah, just as many (if not wayyyy more) people dislike and disagree with her very strongly, but she already knew about that stuff and it doesn’t faze her. All she’s soaking in is the praise and support from other deluded, like-minded people and especially from a lot of “higher up” people (I.E. Huckabee, Cruz, etc) giving their support and meeting her.
They’re all flaming this fire pretty hot and I can see it turning ugly really fast, really easily…really soon.
I mean, she sees herself as an outcast, martyr type now…taking a huge stand against thousands of “naysayers” and there will be no backing down for her now. She’s basically made it her personal mission to do everything she can to impede as much as she can and she will not ever stop.
I think it’s going to get (much) worse before it gets better…and I cannot wait until she gets fully smacked down with a huge dose of reality.
I don’t like this logic.
It’s true what you say, yes…
…but it doesn’t make her any less of a hypocrite.
Even taking that example out of the equation, there’s still the fact that the bible also says “love thy neighbor”, so her talking about how gays are so “unequal” and “an abomination” and going to “burn in hell for all of eternity” doesn’t sound like she’s listening much to that part of her good book, only the parts that back her up.
As I said to someone a few days ago, you can’t just pick and choose what parts of the bible count and what ones don’t. Either it all counts or none of it does.
