A word on the American Neo-Nazi Party. Does anyone else see the sick irony in people belonging to a group whom the original Aryan Nazis looked down on as an inferior species and would never have allowed to join the party (if indeed they let them live at all).
For fear of hijacking this thread any further, I refrained from mentioning my own favorite irony.
When you see these neo-nazi skin head Neanderthals spewing their submoron rhetoric, try to remember one thing. These fuckwits would have been among the first on the trains. Such genetically impure, undereducated morons would have gotten no farther than the Kommandant’s soap dish.

The Nazis tended to make up stuff as they went along to fit the most recent political needs, as evidenced by their alliance with Italy. About the only consistent position they tried to hold was against anyone even vaguely Jewish, and even that was a mishmash at times.
Believe me; the Nazis would and did take ANY non-Jew they could.
As to their education, the resumes of major Nazi functionaries is, on the whole, unimpressive. Hitler wasn’t exactly at the top of the intellectual heap. Nazis were and are very likely to fall into a remarkably narrow class of highly authoritarian (not autocratic) underacheiving sociopaths with severe psychosexual problems. Oedipal complexes are as common in a room full of Nazis as swastikas.

I gotta say the German-bashing is way out of line. Yes, the Nazi era was horrifying, but the generation that committed the crimes are in nursing homes now, for the most part, and the new Germans are deeply ashamed of their history. Are there neo-Nazis in German? Sure, but we got’em in Idaho and Montana.
I’ve traveled around Europe and Asia and I’ve met a lot of Germans, all of whom were unfailingly cool people, not to mention the hot blonde German tour guide I shagged in Guilin, China. Woo-hoo!
Long story short, people are too complex to be easily sorted into categories by nationality. Free your mind, and your butt will follow!
