PoorYorick, I know their (our) credability is shot. That was the point of my post where I said "I guess since they finally have some proof they figure they better show everyone that they weren’t lying.

Hmm…Call me unimpressed. While I have absolutely nothing but disdain for the circumstances in which we’ve gotten ourselves involved in this war, and while I think Fox news isn’t the bastion of balanced journalism, these pictures have been on many media outlets (as stated), and, in my opinion as a journalist, are absolutely defensible and, dare I say, journalistically responsible.
I don’t call it sensationalism, and I’m sorry if some person’s cozy weltanshauung has been shaken by the fairly tepid images, but visual evidence in a claim that the US has killed the number two and three henchmen is quite necessary. It ain’t definite proof, but something better to go on than the government’s say-so.
If the point is that you’re a weasel, then yes, I do get it.

And yes, I will concede, that if MSNBC and CNN had the pictures on their homepage, then they too deserve a hearty fuck you.
War is messy and ugly. They show show more stuff like this.

Also, does this rant fall into the “I just saw something mildly controversial and ran off to the SDMB to be the first person to pen a lame four line rant in the pit” category? I think it does. I had a salad. It was nominal. 
I said the same thing when al Jazeera was showing those pictures of killed US servicemen back in April. If we’re going to have something as disgusting and inhuman as a war, let’s see all sides of it, not just the rah-rah jingoistic flag-waving.

Please. I see more disturbing images in movie theaters. They aired them on my local news (CBS, not FOX), with a big WARNING: THESE IMAGES ARE DISTURBING AND GRAPHIC sort of disclaimer, which I found them not to be so much.
Yeah and once again, my point was that foxnews.com had no big warning, the pics were just there when you opened up the homepage. If they had such a warning, I would not have clicked the link or if morbid curiousity got the best of me, waited until I was finished eating.
