Anyway, ya wanna point fingers, look at the BBC. The goddamn BBC!! First of all, putting quotes around all their U and Q headlines for the last two days even after the bodies were definitively identified: "Bodies of ‘Saddam’s sons’ taken to Baghdad’, etc.
But now they have the bodies on the front page! No warnings, no links, nothing!!
Now, of course the Beeb should have the pictures somewhere on their site; they have zillions of Arabic readers and many members of the Iraqi diaspora settled in the UK, etc etc, but blimey, the front page?? Tons of kids and all check that page every day, I’m sure.
Fuck you. As if you guys haven’t done enough damage this week. And the taxpayers are forced to fund you! If I were in London, I’d be knocking on the door and demanding my TV fee back.
Hey, the Telegraph has one of them on their front page as well. And was it the NY Times or the LA Times where I saw the first pictures last night, also on the front page?
This criticism of Fox is silly on multiple levels.
You can see more grotesque images 24-7 on American television.
I’ve looked at crime scene photos immesurably more grotesque than these photos and had to go choke down lunch five minutes later.
The necessity of showing these pictures to prove to oppressed Iraqis that U&Q are dead is far more important than worrying about some allegedly squeamish individual.

Nobody except a cave dweller–or a principled scholarly individual that never ever watches television ([sub]freak[/sub] ;)-- hasn’t seen nastier images on the movie channels This is the lamest rant directed at Fox News EVER. They cover all the usual criticism of the administration, but nobody ever mentions that. Then they do something that many other outlets do and they are supposedly out of line.

It’s my opinion that it is necessary to see these unpleasant images or else some future goons will say (as some present Iraqis are saying) that they weren’t really killed. Remember the films taken of the dead Goering and other Nazi war criminals? I saw them and I can say, yep, them fuckers are dead, despite kooky theories about them being alive and hiding somewhere in South America. And it was gross to see them, too, but I’m glad someone back then had the forethought to film the bodies.
