If you are blowing your shit onto the street you are breaking ordinance and costing tax-payers money and possibly obstructing traffic. Stop.

I do agree with the original pit. I’m not crazy about winter weather, but it’s sure a lot quieter around here. I can probably do better than a lot of you: several neighbors have yard “services”, so the leaf blower, lawn mower and weed eater are going *at the same time. * Holy Hell.

Fuck this topic. I live in a wooded neighborhood. If I didn’t have my $800 leaf blower that I can clean my roof, eaves troughs, and get virtually every leaf off of my 1 1/2 acre property with in less than 2 hours, then I would be spending inordinate amounts of time on that BS.
I only need to do what’s described above 4-5 times a year to keep my yard clean. I don’t think it’s ever a valid complaint when referring to people doing yard work during the day. Like was already said, use some damn ear plugs…
I recognize that I live in a neighborhood where it’s required to do these things, and we have way more leaves than most other people. My neighbors and I chose to live here which is probably why I’ve never heard anyone complain about it before. But still, don’t be a narcissistic jerk about petty bullshit.
The problem probably doesn’t lie with the person doing the yard work.

Add that to the fact that this board IS thriving and healthy and we DO get many posters every day. Some actually continue to post although way too many just post one line of useless crap and never return (even after a genuine friendly welcome not at all like mine). Some people just get their jollies by driving by message boards and leaving useless remarks

I drove past some leaf-blowing dudes the other day at 6:15AM when it was pouring rain. Very odd. I often see them out in parking lots on really windy days too, which seems counter productive.
I’ve seen this too, and did a double-take— literally blowing puddles around in a rainstorm. Unfortunately they weren’t using the electric type.
Assuming someone is giving them a paycheck, they’ll stand around blowing stuff that is already blowing. The money spends the same either way.
