Fucking maskholes and vaxholes

An acquaintance of mine today was physically threatened by a man who told her he was going to beat her with the shovel he was holding and kill her, then let loose with the following invective: " You cold-hearted bitch, no wonder you’re alone. You’re probably vaccinated!"

So I guess this is just a way to insult people now.

Great Rebates?

Game Room.
If, in case you were already aware of that, and just wanted to riff on the “Great Debates” title, then please accept my whooshed apologies in advance.

I’m so tired that I have no idea.

Re:GR

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone abbreviate/initialize(?) the Game Room, had no idea what you mean, and would like to vote against it going forward.

uh yyyyyyeah I’ll have to go to ATMB about this to suggest an enforcement of this most serendipitous acronym, with suspension penaties if not duly recognized by all posters, starting immediately. :innocent:

YSIN

(Your Sarcasm Is Noted)

Great Rebates it is, so noted, so mote it be.

Another could’ve-gone-in-GR-but-naaaa-much-more-deserving-here post…

Stockton! the fuck’s gotten into you?!

Right - you’re proud of a toxic, reality-denying shithead, got it.
At least the mook (KI) back-pedalled on all that flat-earth shit, but still, he can sit out the whole fucking season if he moronically keeps on with this vaccine denial horse hockey.

What the fuck is this shit?

“A majority out there that’s sitting there pulling for you”??? In what insane universe?

Maybe in the universe where it’s important to know who the fuck Kyrie Irving and John Stockton and Chad Fisher and Tony Farmer are.

I was thinking the same thing. I’ve never heard of them and, except for the death and misery they are causing, could not care less about what they think.

I’m quite confident that I should NOT listen to a flat earther basketball player when it comes to medical science.

And I’m in the majority on that.

I was a bit of a John Stockton fan from way back. He was one of the all-time great NBA players (though a pretty dirty one at times it must be said). He retired 18 years ago and still holds a couple of all-time NBA records - it’s possible his assist record might hold for a long, long time if it is ever broken. He has a pretty good argument for being one of the best point guards of all time (though most, including me, would slot him into maybe the top 5-6 rather than #1). I was rooting for the Malone-Stockton Jazz over Michael Jordan’s Bulls back in the day.

But I could give a crap about what he has to say about vaccinations and disease. Being a great athlete has never insulted anyone from being a complete fucking moron about any number of topics.

Ah, that would explain it, then – the NBA isn’t evena blip on my radar. At least his flearther statements were reasonably harmless.

Kyrie Irving might not be well known here in these boards, but to miillions of Americans - many of them gullible ignoramuses - he’s a celebrity, whose social media comments, sadly, can carry a strong influence. He’s obviously not helping the casue with his anti-vax position, and too many idiot fans out there obviously can be swayed by this. And not just among “fans” - idiocy can and does bleed everywhere.

Four losers playing cards and handing out National Socialist Party pamphlets at a card table outside of the DOT…?

Point guard - - that’s like, what, a shortstop in baseball?

They are the ones who run the ball into the net thing with the stick.
