Fucking Pimples!!

They wont go away I tell you! I’m 27 years old and I’m still getting them, WHY???

Oh and they dont go away quick either… You have to let them fester until they come to a head. Then you have to get a warm rag and squeeze the hell out of them until they spill there guts! It’s not a pretty sight I tell you.

Not only that, but they are smart too! As soon as I get one, another will pop up randomly on my face to take its place. It’s almost like they retreat and regroup for awhile, then launch a counter attack!

So I declare war on you pimples! I will hunt you down and every pore that harbors you! I say to thee FUCK OFF!!!

All I can say is that Retin-A is your friend. As for non-pescription stuff, Origins Spot Remover is great. The only drawbacks is that it stings and it smells way too much like oregano. Small price to pay though…

You should have my face and then you would absolutley fucking HATE acne that you may get as a 30 year old. Oh wait you’re still in your 20s. ( I am 33 )

Let me tell you, I have BAD, VERY BAD scars from those fuckers some that have been on my face for months and I have to go in for micro dermabrasion (a pure medical procedure, so they say) to get rid of the fuckers.

It attacked my face and my back. The back I can handle but the face, I look like a fucking freak like this and I haven’t been as pissed at life about my looks ever. If I can get rid of the scarring, I will forever be greatful for what I thought I had, a pretty face.

So quit your sniveling, be glad that your acne isn’t scarring and making you so self concerned that you don’t even want to be around people you love. I hate being in public, I hate being with my friends, I hate being with my family. I hate how I look, I hate it and I will always remember that I was actually pretty before this fucked up shit attacked my face and disfigured me.

BTW, I forgot to add, I have at least four scars on my face that are 1 inch in diameter, yes, that big…I hate it. Until I get rid of the shit I will never feel any sense of self-confidence again.

Ask Una aka Anthacrite, I showed her a picture, but two of the scars were smaller then, if it weren’t for my damn night scratching.

FUCK

I don’t mean to be a bummer, but some people are just destined to have zits. My husband still gets 'em, bad ones sometimes, and he’s 46. He tells me we’ll be in the nursing home and I’ll have to hold the magnifying glass for him so he can see to pop 'em. Oh yay.

I think the only thing that can really help is medical intervention. There’s lots of new stuff out there - just get yourself an appointment with the dermatologist and see what can be done.

I had this exact same rant last year and someone said to go to a dermatoligist. I did, and he put me on tetracycline, retin-A, and cleocin topical stuff.

My skin was cleared up in about 2 weeks, and I’m only just now having any recurrance at all. When I saw my doc, he basically said that the anti-zit stuff I was using was making it worse, and to throw it away. He was right, and I’m much, much better.

Can’t hurt to try- if you go and they prescribe a similar regimine, you should be set for quite some time. It takes forever to run through a tube of retin a, since you need so little.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. YMMV. Taxes and tags not included.

Bleh it is your destiny , been having the damned things for years and years and its left my face horrifically scarred tried many many things to stop this problem but it won’t go away .Still these days i don’t give a shit any more since i’m so badly scarred anyway .Still causes problems when everybody dates on looks when women pull guns on you saying WTF are you and backs away slowly.

When I was on the pill I never got pimples but since I stopped taking the pill I break out at least once a month. They’re not the scarring kind, thank G-d, but it still sucks. My brother had really bad acne as a teen and he had to go to the doctor to lance the ones on his face. He has scars from them and still gets them occassionally but not as bad as when he was younger.

Stay up late and watch some infomercials. Apparently there is a cure for acne now, pus bucket.

On the subject of pimples, isn’t it funny how such a cute word “pimples” has been associated with such a gross phenomenon? It’s a damn shame, I tell you.

One strange phenomenon I’ve never understood is what I call “symmetrical acne.” When I get a huge zit, the majority of the time there’s a mysterious alternative zit opposite of it. I’m fascinated with zit etymology – the sprayers, the worms, the All American Whiteheads …

Okay, enough of that. I’m 35, and although I’ve never been in a position to be called “pizza face,” I still get more zits than I’d like. I go through cycles, too – a month without 'em, then they’re kinda there for a couple weeks, then it’s all clear again. I’m male, so I don’t get it.

My zits aren’t bad or plentiful enough for Acutane, though, so I started to take tetracyclene a few months ago. It worked for about a month, but then my zits became resistant! Now I’m on doxycyclene, and I’m now relatively zit-free (I still cycle, but the zits I get are fairly minor). However, my friends and co-workers call upon me to open suspicious mail.

I hate pimples. I don’t have full fledged acne, but I’m never zit free.

I’ve tried everything. The problem is, I have oily skin, but it’s SENSITIVE. It dries out so very easily.
I tried clearisil cream-the white stuff. It dried out my skin, and the zits popped up anyways. So I had zits surrounded by patches of flaking red blotches.

I tried clearisil washes, with astringent. Nothing.

I’ve been trying St. Ives Tea Tree Extract wash, on the advice of dopers that Tea Tree oil is a good cure for zits. Nothing.

I give up.

It sucks.

I have bad skin too, but what keeps the acne down is a daily or twice daily scrubbing with a 2% solution of salicylic acid astringent wash. You can visibly see the dirt and oil you’ve removed. I like to do it because there’s such visible proof of what I’ve accomplished. There’s alsoa body with this stuff called Body Clear. I noticed that after using it for 2 weeks, every day, my back and shoulders were noticably improved.

Put that in with benzoyl peroxide, and you’ve got something to punch back with.

Or… see a real doctor and get a prescription, if your condition is beyond these remedies.

I’m 32, and I still will get big 16-year old ones if I don’t keep up the washing.

That should of course be:

There’s also **a body wash **with this stuff, called Body Clear.

Obvious Guy, FWIW, you’re not the only one.

And yes, Hortensia is long-gone, replaced with smaller but more zits.

Robin

I’m 32 and I still get pimples. I get the type that elmwood was talking about. If there’s one on the left side of my face, its twin is on the other side. What really sucks is that I don’t get the kind that get a head. Mine are little hard knots under the skin and I just have to wait until it goes away.
