We sent a newbie to another casino telling her that we had loaned them our wheel crank, (for the roulette game). The joke was on us, she was gone for the whole shift. When she finally returned, she had had more than a few cocktails and told us the story. Each casino, in turn, told her that they had loaned it to another casino, but if she could wait they would call around and see if they could run it down. Meanwhile they would treat her to a cocktail. Then they would send her to another casino. She must have gone to every casino in Reno chaseing that wheel crank.
I think she was smarter than we gave her credit, she got paid for the shift, plus tips, and spent the entire shift, runnin’ around gettin’ a good buzz on. We loved her dearly, What a sport!
Ps: Remember a similar story about a spaghetti stretcher!
