For me it’s the Borat scene (first Borat) where he and his sidekick run naked through a hotel including a convention Don’t care if it was real or staged.
The Odd Couple - Little People Photoshoot
The Honeymooners - vacuum cleaner
The Honeymooners - Oh My Aching Back (pretty much the whole thing)
Characters
For me it’s just a question of which Monty Python movie scene to choose…
“strange women distributing swords is no basis for a system of government” probably comes out ahead.
But “Romans they go the house” comes in close behind:
And there are a ton of others up there from both movies.
Funniest scene is hard, but I can think of two lines that have to be the best comedy lines in history.
Blazing Saddles: “Hey, where’re all the white women at?”
Some Like it Hot: “Well, nobody’s perfect.”
Ever since I first saw Blazing Saddles, it’s been SO hard not to ask this when walking into a room… really made teaching a challenge.
Well, we’ve done this before, but my answer is still the same.
See if you can guess what I am now…
(The whole clip is great, but this is the money shot.)
For TV there a few contenders…
Father Ted definitely up there. Probably the “explaining perspective to Father Dougal”
Doorbell scene from the Young Ones:
Airplane!
Pick a random scene.
Vitameatavegamin
“As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.”
