[Side note to ETF: a recumbent excercise bike?? Boy, if that doesn’t sound like an oxymoron. (I can imagine the ads: "Now you, too, can exercise in your sleep! ) ]

What, you mean you’ve never seen those suicidal maniacs who blithely pedal their too-low-to-see recumbent bicycles toward oblivion amid the traffic?

But yeh, does sound silly, ecxept it has a wider seat than the uprights do, for those of us whose butts don’t take kindly to the usual narrow saddle, and it’s easy to read in. I usual hop aboard with the day’s newspaper and spend a half hour or so pedalling my way through it.

I have Amazon Prime and an Amazon Visa. I spend thousands annually at Amazon, and not just for books. 5% of my spending would be a tidy sum for the Dope. I would happily send the clicks your way.

Ed, your OP seems to imply that the site is making enough from ads anyway to make an ad-filled no-fee option financially feasible. Am I reading you correctly?

Potentially making enough money. I’ve had my hands full with other things and haven’t seen the numbers in a while, and Jerry and the lads are tweaking the behind-the-scenes machinery anyway, but yes, it appears if you’re willing to look at ads-o-plenty we may be able to offer a free posting option.

I am. I think this is very good news for the board.
