Future Showbiz Giants -- Updated

I’ve been looking at some of my old threads for some ideas to rekindle and since we have the various zombie rules in play, please refer to Future Showbiz Giants which ran from 06-26-2003, 07:15 PM to 07-01-2003 01:30 AM and generated 23 Replies with 232 Views.

Some of the comments/predictions seem to be holding up pretty well, while others seem to have been a bit aggressive.

How would you modify things from that six-year-old thread? Whose names would you add? Whose would you remove as examples of might-have-beens?

Michael Sheen.

At this point, most folks are saying “who”? But he is one of the finest actors working today, and the man has range. Recently, he had two wildly different roles in the theater at the same time - David Frost in “Frost/Nixon” and Lucian (a werewolf) in “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans”. In six years time he’s going to have more than one Oscar on his mantle.

I was surprised to not see Leo DiCaprio in that thread. He has become reliably good.

It is perplexing when you look at his credits to see that

I nominate James Franco. If he does Allen Ginsburg right in Howl, I think he could get an Oscar out of it.

I’d only ever seen him in the Spider-Man movies, and I thought he was forgettable, but Pineapple Express showed me that he’s hilarious and Milk showcased great acting skill.
