I wouldn’t, but I’d be shocked if any distribution or breakdown was at all close in any way to various historical pseudo-scentific notions of the different human races, or if such a breakdown just so happened to confirm the assertions of various 19th century pseudo-scientists about which races are superior and inferior. And it just so happens (coincidence, I’m sure – nothing more :dubious:) that the vast majority of the assertions about intelligence (and certain other characteristics) and race from race-realists and their allies mirror these bunk science assertions from the past.
It would be an astounding coincidence, but you wouldn’t be surprised? OK…
So, is it your contention that we should be able to discuss only difference in intelligence that don’t correspond to what people thought in the past? If not, then I don’t know why any of that is of any significance in terms of what should or should not be allowed on this MB.
I’d personally be shocked if the difference turned out to be statistically significant. There’s going to be a difference of course; I wouldn’t expect surveys of two different groups to yield identical results, just because of the randomness of sampling. Heck, I wouldn’t expect two surveys of the same group to yield identical results, for that reason.
Assuming the underlying characteristic isn’t changing over time, that just speaks to the precision of the tools being used, not the underlying characteristic.
