Well Halloween recently passed and all the talk about vampires reminded me that I love garlic, but I never can keep it in the house. Then I decided I would like a nice garlic cooking oil, but I don’t know how to proceed. Can anybody tell me what kind of oil I should use and how much garlic and how long to leave it. I want to use it for cooking and marinades etc…but not for peanut butter.
Please be careful making your own garlic oil, as there is a risk of botulism. Most suggest storing the homemade oil in the refrigerator and discarding any unused oil after 3 weeks, tops. Maybe purchasing a premade one with anti-bacterials added would be a better idea than making your own in this case.
