She did an episode with Elie Weisel and Gack refers to the episode as some sort of revelatory episode in his quest to be more obscure.
Basically, he’s trying to call question into some of the photographic evidence of the Holocaust and tries to do so by tying his denial to a well known and well liked person (though the person herself is not a Holocaust denier).
It’s innocence by association, much like he tries to make Nazi Germany itself appear better by comparison to a megalomaniacal Britain that only exists in his head.
I can’t decide who’s worse: holocaust deniers or anti-vax nuts. I suppose the latter as most vaccine-preventable diseases are highly contagious. But I’ll never understand the human impulse to side with Hitler or the measles.
Gack. Talk about low-hanging fruit. But I am grateful that someone started a thread in an appropriate forum where I can voice my sincere opinion that Gack is a worthless piece of human filth.
I’m sure it’s happened, but I’ve visited my fair share of white power sites and I don’t ever recall seeing the Holocaust denial faction argue with a pro-Holocaust sect. Because the latter should be angry that the former is denigrating Germany and Hitler’s accomplishments. In their view Germany was the first Jew controlled state to wake up and wrest control of their economy away from the economic parasites (hence their meteoric rise) and were only dragged down because the Jews tricked the other nations into taking Germany out for them. I guess the denialists would be the white power Protestants.
There’s other hard denials like the Armenian genocide or Japan’s various flavors of WWII atrocity denial, but the softer denial remind me of the guys who say stuff like ‘oh sure, slavery was bad and all, but it wasn’t THAT bad. And the South didn’t fight a war to keep it, anyway.’

I’ve never once met or read a holocaust denier that wasn’t underneath it all just a racist fascist loving bastard. Some come out and just admit their true leaning. Others use the “I’m just looking for the truth” argument but ultimately they are what they are and should be sneered at and then ignored.
I know that there is value in the threads with these fuckwits as people reading get info that they may not have seen before and see ignorance and hatred fought but it still bugs the crap out of me to see these people’s ideas every entertained with argument.
Not really. Deniers won’t be swayed by arguments. And the asshole in question is not arguing in good faith. He is playing everyone like a fiddle and you are dancing to his tune. If it was a wrong-headed non-troll I’d say go ahead but that thread is a waste of good bandwidth that could be used for charity. Or porn. Or charity porn.
