Gambling Question.

Do they take out taxes on money won over $1199.99 at the tables, i.e. Black Jack, Craps and the others? I know they do for slot machines.

They only do in poker if you win a bad beat jackpot of $1200 or over. They do not in chips won in craps or in the game of poker aside from the rare jack pots. They cannot (well they don’t anyway) keep track of your entire session of betting to know what your total winnings are. You could win a $2000 pot in one poker hand but maybe you lost $5000 up to that point.

I have heard that you are asked for your SSN if you try to cash in a large amount of chips which is a legal requirement.
