I bought a Windows version of the Xbox 360 controller for my PC about two weeks ago and it turns out I only have a single game that really benefits from it. What other games are there that I can use it for? Other than the obvious NHL, NBA, NFL type games.
My only suggestion is “The Most Excellent Game” Psychonauts, which you can still purchase from Steam, or order from the game’s website (which is pretty cool in and of itself, but a little hard to navigate from the front page). It is a cross between an adventure game and a 3D platformer, designed by the fairly famous Tim Schafer. It was originally developed for the Xbox, and thus greatly benefits from using Xbox controls.
Of course, I’m not sure that’s the type of game you’re into. You might want to include that information for others. And maybe your basic system specs. I’m pretty sure Psychonauts will run on anything that can run other games well, but other games will have higher requirements.
Oh, and what game are you using your new controller for now? That’ll help a lot, too.
ETA: hope that wasn’t too many links. Mods, bleach if necessary.
The only games that I can use my controller for are Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4, an outdated hockey game and GTA: Vice City. I was unable to run the newer GTA game unfortunately. Also, I didn’t really want to give out the names of the games because I’m more of a first person shooter kind of guy. However, a mouse and keyboard is far superior for that type of game.
Um. Any of them?
