So, what does one do when someone you like and who shares your hobby is on the wrong side of this issue? Being on the wrong side of this one is an indicator of conspiracism, and there’s little chance of a conspiracy theorist ever mending. From what I’ve seen, impressionable teens aside, they only get worse.
I actually took a look at the original post by Quinn’s ex that started the whole thing. I felt dirty doing it but at this point I don’t think I can hurt her more than she has been hurt and I really wanted to try to understand the situation.

Airing so many loads of private, dirty laundry—and every word of it utterly uninteresting to anyone with a life—with such an air of high-handed self-righteousness.
There’s no justification for it. And there’s even less justification for the mob that then gleefully tore down Quinn’s life and threatened her, her job, and her home.
I hope the people who perpetrated those outrages get tossed in jail, like the ones who did it to Sarkeesian.

I don’t know what you’re asking. Someone who supports what was fond to Quinn—not to mention participated in it—is not someone I would continue associating with.
Well, nobody I know has claimed to have participated in trolling Quinn or Sarkeesian. I’m talking more about the sort of person who would find Thunderf00t intelligent, I guess. More the sort of person who would agree that stalking and harassment are 100% wrong but would use the initialism SJW.
You know, the sort of person who has benignly stupid opinions but that you like for other reasons. Like how I don’t unfollow everyone who openly believes in astrology so long as they mostly talk about more interesting topics.
I know what you mean. Evil Avatar has been strongly pushing the GamerGate thing (specifically the “corruption in journalism” angle, but also the “ZQ is just as bad” angle a little) and I feel terrible about ever having liked that site. I know the admins were a little jerky, but I never expected them to support a cause that was formed to harass an innocent woman.
I am really proud of Cracked. Normally, if you have any passing familiarity with what they’re writing about, you can spot the holes and exaggerations a mile away (my go-to article for this 6 Reasons We’re In Another ‘Book-Burning’ Period in History, which is just a mess of half-truths and exaggerations). But they’ve been right on the money with all this GamerGate stuff.

Be honest here. The real reason you’re upset about it is because it completely and irrevocably invalidates Quinn’s claims to being any kind of feminist, and reveals her for the hypocrite, fraud, abuser, and (according to her own publicly stated standards) rapist that she is.

I’ll confess to having never heard the term “SJW” until this thread and actually had to look it up.
Judging by the tone, I think the term along with “white knight” while it potentially may refer to a real phenomenon that deserves criticism says more about the user than the accused.
