Gaming monitor setup

How does this monitor look to people?

I keep trying to research monitors I’m about to buy online, but I think monitor nerds are only rivalled by audiophiles in their ability to make you think anything you’re about to buy is THE WORST THING EVER

Aaand nevermind, I just ended up getting a similar Acer one on sale because it has an IPS panel, and the monitor people had almost nothing bad to say about it, other than it has a on-arrival chance of bad pixels, but I’m willing to RMA a couple of times.

Ha, you bastard, I just finished reading some reviews for you.

The one you ended up buying may be better because it’s some sort of IPS technology (AHVA?). Amazon has a warning that mentions

It sounds like there are definitely manufacturing issues, but if you keep on it you can get a good sample.

Here’s a review from my go-to monitor review site. The conclusion is very positive.

I’m going to assume you have a high end video card with displayport/g-sync output.

That’s the one that I looked at when I was looking for a new monitor. I ended up not getting it because nearly every review I read talked about poor quality control.

When I finally decided on one I just went to Microcenter and had them plug it in for me to confirm no dead pixels. I’m happy.
