Garage Door Help

I have a single piece garage door with a spring on each side. Currently, when it opens and closes, it rubs against one side of the jamb. I’ve searched for instructions on how to adjust this, but everything (both video and written) I find either covers torsion springs, multi-section doors, or both. Does anybody know of a website that might have what I need, or have some expertise with this problem?

Thank you.

Here’s a guy replacing the springs - might be some help.

It may be easier to remove some wood off the door jamb. Just where it’s rubbing.

A carpenter block plane will take care of it.

Repaint and you’re done.

I have replaced side springs on two doors, not too hard or dangerous (I will not mess with torsion springs - I just call ‘the guy’).

Common sense tells me that if the door is scrubbing on one side, it is not going up equally on each side. One spring may be weaker or broken, the track is out of alignment or the rollers (little wheels) on the sides of the door are hanging up or loose.

This site might give you some clues.
