Gardeners - Shillingford Hoe - where art thou?

Have I got the name of this implement wrong? It’s a gardening hoe, but with a sort of half moon gap so you can hoe towards you and weed by pushing away from you. I google - but nothing comes up which I find extraordinary - a very useful tool - we had at least two when I was a kid - Thames Valley/Cotswolds area of England. It’s lightweight and well … a hoe. Does anyone even remember them - am I from another dimension?

This is sort of close, but the flat bit’s not big enough or shovelish enough.

A bit like this but more elegant.

Again - not quite - it’s more shovely rather than flat at the bottom.

I think I know what you are referring to.

Not quite as you describe, but the closest I could find, a Loop Hoe
Also from Sears Canada

And from Amazon

Thanks - I guess they just don’t make 'em anymore.

I saw a hoe with a 6 by 10 inch blade in the hardware store. I saw nothing like you described. I can’t figure what this hoe I found would be useful for. I have a few tools I’ll never let somebodies else use, because I have yet to find them for sale. I will always have your request in the back of my mind when I browse.

Thanks Harmonious! It was always great for weeding. I bought a regular garden hoe yesterday so I’ll struggle along with that and keep my eye out for yard sales - it’s the sort of thing the unknowing would just throw out though I suspect.
