So are the voices of Bart Simpson, Ralph Wiggim, Todd Flanders, Database, Kerney and Nelsen Muntz—all voiced by Nancy Cartwright

Ralph sounds like a girl.

That’s harsh- there are dozens of mainstream comics equally unfunny as Garfield, but with less kid appeal- Broom Hilda, Beetle Bailey, Marmaduke,Hi and Lois, Momma,etc.. Id like to see someone argue that any of these is more funny than the others, with examples of it’s “more funnyness”
It’s my opinion, and I don’t have to argue it. But, yes, I find Garfield more depressingly unfunny and ill conceived than any of the cartoons you mention, albeit not by much.

My favourite Garfield: garfield minus garfield: Archive
I liked the ones where they still had Garfield, but removed his thought bubbles. Is there an archive of those?
Whether a boy or a girl, I think the name makes the character. Nermal.
I always figured that Nermal was a boy because of how Garfield treated him.
Like, why would Garfield hate a little girl who was trading on her cuteness?
It only makes sense for Garfield to hate on that shit if Nermal’s a dandy little fop, right?
Nermal is Krazy Kat’s love child, if you ask me.
I’m waiting for the brick.
