Gas tanks and cell phones

Not what you’re thinking.

In every vehicle I’ve ever owned or used, the first “half tank” is significantly bigger than the “second half.”

I’ve noticed the same with cell phone batteries. The first bar lasts longer than the other two bars.

Anyone else???

All halves are equal to each other. Some are just more equal than others.

My God, can something be bumped into Manhattan’s forum???

The gas tanks is miscalibrated. FWIW, the one in my truck will go as far on the last quarter of the gauge as it will on the first half.

As for the cell phone, I think it takes a long time for a fully charged battery to show any change in voltage. Once the voltage drops, it’s on the last legs of the charge. The same thing happens with my PDA.
