An interesting site of some texts and stories that have fell out of copyright : GASLIGHT electronic text and discussion site
Among the authors present : Arthur Conan Doyle, H.P. Lovecraft (including his collaboration with Houdini), Arthur Machen, Sheridan Le Fanu, Bulwer-Lytton and many more.
A suggestion though, go through the list of “texts by authors”, not the “chronological list” as there are more texts available in the former.
