Last year I bought one a few days after the first of December, or maybe it was the first. Anyway, it was 50% off. I might do that again this year.
I think this is the first time I’ve seen face cord in writing, as most people will just use cord. My parents have had a wood stove since I was 10, and they still use it, but only to add some warmth to the tv room in the evening, and when the power’s out. My dad always mentions face cord when talking about how much wood he has stored.
Both of my parents were scouts and if I couldn’t build a fire before, I certainly learned how to when they got the wood stove. When I was in middle school I went on a church retreat. None of the adults could build a fire in the wood stove used to heat the place. I had to do it. I’ve never had my own place with a wood stove, but we’ve rented places with one. Very nice.
Sounds yummy, but it reminds me of the rum cake joke.
{{{Nettie}}} Sorry about your kitty.
This one? I hate when I do that in the MMP! - old - #219 by JaneDoe42
{{{doggio}}} Sorry about your friend.
And I just realized hubby’s high school, just north of Philly, planned their reunion the week before 4th July. That should make flights and hotels extra pricey.
I read it all. Phew!
Busy week, including a long overdue visit to a proper eye doctor who told me I have to come back in 2 years to get a check up, including a visual field test, because my eye pressure is elevated, but not yet considered glaucoma. I don’t know of any family history of glaucoma. ![]()
We have no centipedes here, or negative, so I’ve been getting out the warmer outerwear and sweaters. Tomorrow there might be some of that flakey white stuff, and I don’t mean dandruff.
