Gearheads: Make my car go faster

I own a 2000 Toyota Camry LE 4 cylinder. I need to know if there is any sorta after-market parts that I can add to the exsisting car to make it any faster than it currently is. I’m not talking major over-halls, just minor things. And if the layman can do it, even better. I realize this car wasn’t meant to go any faster than when it rolled off the factory line, but I’m just curious. Please no “Get a new engine” or “Get a different car” answers.
Links are great. Thanks in advance.

From that website:

There are lots of things out there that can improve performance. The problem is, without spending a lot of money, you can’t improve it much.

You’ll find lots of ads for things like exhaust system upgrades that will claim they can give you 10-15 HP more. Or a chip that will give you more power (although for non-turbo cars, the amount of improvement you’ll get is extremely limited).

But here’s the thing - Acceleration is not linear with power. Inreasing your power by even 10% (and that would be quite a lot for just bolt-on mods) will not increase acceleration by 10%. Chances are, for the types of improvement you can get without tearing down the motor, you probably won’t notice the difference.

It’s kind of like expensive audio cables - spend enough, and you’ll convince yourself you can tell. And in the case of exhaust mods, it’ll certainly *sound more powerful. But measured performance probably won’t change much.

Think of it this way: In this hyper-competitive car market, if there were simple things that you could do to make your car faster, don’t you think Toyota would have done it?

Could try a new Air Intake System

Though I have no idea what that actually does.
