passing notes is so much more fun when they’re written in " ice cream smooth pink" than it is when they’re written in plain ol’ bic black. my question has to do with the Gelly Roll gel pens. they used to be pretty normal in shape: a straight pen with a round-topped cap. nothing extraordinary. but now they put little knobs around the base of the cap. does anyone know what I’m talking about? are these just there for decoration, or do they serve some purpose? are they supposed to distinguish the gelly rolls that were made a long time ago from the ones that were made more recently? If you have any answers or ideas (or if nobody’s responding and you just want to tell me that you know what I’m talking about) I’d be very grateful!
I know Gelly Roll Pens tried to make a new jazz album in '64. But his old rhythm and blues albums really were his best.
Thank you…
