Gender and DNA

If I’m a post op male to female transvestite, does my DNA say I’m a male or a female?

Um, male. You don’t get your DNA altered in the process.

That is kind of an odd question. If you dye your hair from fair blond to black and ironed it from curly to straight, what kind of hair would a DNA analysis say you have?

Males actually have a separate chromosome unique to them. Modern surgery isn’t advanced enough to change your DNA.

If it was I’d have a six foot penis by now.

And you don’t need an operation to become a transvestite. I assume you mean transexual.

In any case, an operation will no more change the genetic makeup of your cells than changing your clothes will.

I think you mean “transsexual,” not “transvestite.”

Something that has ticked me off recently is the media hype about the man having a baby.

Um … no. Thats a woman having that baby. She may dress as a man. She may have had her breasts removed. She may have (in the past) taken testosterone and grown a beard and chest hair. She won’t be taking such hormones now due to the baby.

But the DNA, physical exam, and internal structure (at present) are 100% female. And she stays that way in spite of any other choice she makes.

At some time in the future she may have the complete sexual reassignment, and internal organs may be removed, but she will still be a woman, DNA wise. So it’s not a man having a baby at all.

So stop with the Pregnant man mows lawn two weeks before due date rubbish headlines. It’s a pregnant woman mowing the lawn two weeks before her due date.
Which is exactly the way it should be
