Well I guess we’re speaking a different language because everything you underlined seems to agree with what I said. Genes are involved in how politically active you are but not which party. I suppose we’ll have to agree to disagree if you don’t see it that way.

Yeah on reflection I guess our two statements in that case weren’t that different.
Why did you disagree when I said your cite refuted specific party affiliation as genetic? Since I referred to your title it was obvious I meant which party affiliation, not any affiliation at all.
Because I don’t believe voting tendencies to be necessarily the same thing as party affiliation, though that might depend on the political system.
That said, as the thread has gone on I have learned that it’s a mistake to lump party affiliation in with political attitudes and other political behaviors, and Republicanismdoesn’t mean what I think it means.
