Genital mutilation of young girls. But it's a religious thing!

Not interested.

I’m so sorry.

I meant fuck off.

I forgot to address this point too. Regarding sexuality, it’s quite blatantly obvious to me that female issues are discussed vastly more often (in particular on this board) than male issues. The only two male issues that are ever discussed (in general, not here) are premature ejaculation and impotency. For the rest (including the consequences of male genital mutilation) it’s crickets. For instance, in the circumcision thread, people laughed at the idea that delayed ejaculation or absence of it could be a problem. Assuming they believe it is actually something. Plenty of people don’t even know that men might be unable to ejaculate during intercourse, or might be unable to have an orgasm when they ejaculate (I remember all the articles expressing utter surprise when this study showing that 1/3 of men have faked orgasms was published some years ago), while everybody knows that women might be unable to reach orgasm, which is another example of men issues not being as commonly covered as you imply they are. Also, I don’t think that making fun of women who can’t have an orgasm by stating that it’s a good thing because it’s more satisfying for their partner would fly, especially in a thread about genital mutilation, while it’s apparently perfectly fine to say so about men.

And finally, it’s a thread about a judge finding that banning FMG isn’t constitutional because it’s contrary to freedom of religion. And since people came here in droves to express how horrible this stance was, I’m sure going to take them to task because in the circumcision thread, they came in droves to say that freedom of religion was at stakes if circumcision was banned.
I’m sure going to point out at this strange schizophrenia on this board.

Still not interested.

But I understand your point. There’s so little support in our societies for banning FMG, it’s such an unpopular stance, and there’s such a lack of laws forbidding it that expressing one’s opposition to it in a thread not polluted by other similar issues is of the upmost importance.

I know, how dopers are going to realize that FMG is wrong and begin to finally do something about it if your expression of outrage about it is less visible?

Vigorously co-signing everything clairobscur posted. Again, guys from non-circumcising countries rarely weigh in (alas), but I just don’t think many of them see the skewered dicks in American porn and think “yeah, that looks totally fine”.

So the incels and oh-what about the men brigade again have to take a subject and make it about them. Extraordinary.

yes of course we know of the well known collapse of the males desires, the loss of the sex drive women have in the countries with the circumcision have seen so prevalently, with those “callaoused glans…” written in such seriousness…

absolutely the same subject this is as the removal of the clitoris. Yes 100% identical.

and even the strange invention of rationals.

May God forbid the poor delicate males egos, that they might have the suspicion of any tiny lack about their sacred penis, undefliled and made into a giant statutue to its own importance.

What extraordinary creepy assholes.

You misunderstood the decision. The judge found that banning FMG isn’t constitutional because it doesn’t affect interstate commerce. States are free to ban it.

I… um… you are suggesting that I have experienced sexual trauma or inconvenience that you are aware of, but I am not? You are very certain of this?

It’s always convenient when people show me exactly who they are, so thank you for that.

I feel like this is the textbook example of a distinction without a difference.

You poor, poor man. I would probably be very similar if I had been genitally mutilated in infancy. You have my deepest sympathy, but I’m not going to let your defensive propaganda go unchallenged.

Would you mind taking your unhealthy obsession with other people’s penises to a thread about other people’s penises? You are really creeping people out.

Ramira, I’m no “incel”. I’m married (for the second time—and no, my first wife did not leave me, I left her), and have four kids. The friend I described who posted on Facebook wishing he were not circumcisdd lives with his girlfriend and they recently had.a baby. His friend who posted on his thread, I don’t know about; but wistfully wondering what sex would feel like with an intact penis does not suggest he is celibate either.

Currently Pennsylvania and 24 other states do not criminalize female genital mutilation, although there is currently a bill in Pennsylvania addressing the issue.

Clairobscur would no doubt do a better job translating this than I would, but it’s something along the lines of “stop making me confront my cognitive dissonance!” :dubious:

BTW, how could the nearly identical complaint not be aimed at those concerned exclusively with FGM?

God you’re a racist, ignorant, and worthless piece of shit. Fuck you for body shaming strangers just because of your own ignorant issues.

Andy, I’m tempted to say you sound butthurt, but I think the locus of your injury is across the taint, as it were.

You go on being racist and body shaming strangers, if that makes you feel good about yourself. It’s shitty as hell, but I have no illusions that you’re capable of honestly evaluating your own behavior.

Andy, serious question: do you believe people who agitate against FGM are also guilty of “body-shaming strangers”? If not, how do you defend this double standard?

If there are women who say, “I’m perfectly happy with my body, and I really don’t care what was done to me”, and someone tells them otherwise, then yeah, I’d say so.
