He got caught spanking himself in a public bathroom stall. Then the comedy continues with the busting cop trying to sue him. But I do not see why he was busted in the first place.
He would be behind a stall out of sight (I did not see the video, which could give me more to go by). Looking at the floor the cop would see his two feet with his pants down, not more as if someone else was in there, the same as someone taking a dump. It is possible there would be grunts, just as it is possible if he was dumping. Do police just break into stalls, invading privacy and just being dicks to people. If he needed to relieve his woody, as long as he used a tissue to keep the spunk from spewing around so what.
I may be wrong (wouldn’t be the first or last time) but I thought the arrest involved more than G.Michael polishing his sabre in private but rather trying to borrow a little bit of metal polish from the said officer?
On a side note: Personally, I find it slightly disturbing that people would pass it off as “what’s the big deal if he was behind a stall”. This was a public restroom in a park… you know, where parents take kids, etc? Shouldn’t the police be preventing that type of thing?
On a farther side note: There was an article here in town in one of the gay papers (can’t remember the name) but to summarize it’s content involved members of the “gay community” protesting arrests by campus police of gay people who were having sex in the OSU library. Apparently, this had become quite a big problem!! They were recommending anyone arrested to contact their organization for legal representation for discrimination. Now, I’m not sure what the ratio of homosexual sex vs. heterosexual sex that is going on at the library but c’mon now… if you are having sex in a library, shouldn’t you be arrested? Gay or straight?

There may have been more than I am aware of. I was concerned about the possibility of cops randomly kicking open bathroom stalls to check on behavior. A person whacking himself inside a stall will display no suspicious behavior more than someone taking a dump. Were not talking about Homosexual or heterosexual behavior. Both types masturbate. Seeing more than one set of feet on the ground or at different positions than toes out would give away sexual activity.
I don’t want someone spewing spunk in a toilet any more than I want some guy in there with bad aim. There both about as bad as each other.
That should read…I don’t want someone spewing spunk in the bathroom stall any more than I want some guy peeing, dumping, or using toilet paper in there with bad aim.
I believe he was actually arresting for soliciting sex from an undercover police officer. What I want to know is, what the hell was the police officer suing him for? Isn’t it sort of a hazard of the job to be confronted with situations that may make you uncomfortable? I mean, can a cop sue in civil court if he’s working undercover, is confronted by a drug dealer, and this causes him emotional distress?
I guess since the case was thrown out, he can’t, but what in the world was he thinking?
My understanding is that the cop sued because after the arrest, etc., George Michael produced a music video (can’t recall the song, Freedom?) in which he parodied the incident in question and the cop obviously was not happy being the subject of ridicule. I believe the video portrayed the officer as gay, etc.
Wow! George Michael is a rich and famous guy. If I were rich and famous, and Gay, I would certainly use better resources.
First, he should have NO problem picking up cute guys or girls who are much classier than ones who hang out at public bathrooms.
Lets go down the list, starting from the top:
Mutual friends, mutual activities, upscale bars, upscale discos, upscale escort services, change “upscale” for any word that denotes rank and work down, cruising in vehicle, picking up street hooker, (insert a few more lower levels here), University restrooms, country club restrooms, library restrooms, public park restrooms
I haven’t heard that the cop was suing. In the video, IIRC, George is dressed as a cop–I can’t see that as being worth suing over. Here’s a link with a better description of what he was arrested for (for some reason I can’t C&P an excerpt): http://mrshowbiz.go.com/news/Todays_Stories/980416/michael41698.html
