The State Flag of Hawai’i openly declares her loyalty to Great Britain. The State Flag of New Mexico proclaims itself both of the Pueblo Nation and the Empire of Spain. The State Flag of California says “Fuck You United States” right there. The State Flag of Maryland is, umm, well … outrageous in some weird and LSD induced fashion.
The State Flag of Mississippi … and you think Georgia license plates are filthy …
How about the Flag of them United States, those are pentagrams, symbols of SATAN … calling up the demons of HELL …
The back side of the State Flag of Oregon … yeah … the younger the better …

You so witty. But since genes and chormosomes have no impact on outcome and it’s all a function of environment I’ll survive and reproduce just fine. Yeah, the Founding Fathers were a bunch of traitors. But, they were traitors who talked a big game about all men being created equal.
The Southern secessionists were also traitors. They were traitors who unabashedly said that the notion that all men were created equal was “a species of insanity” and who forthrightly rejected “the debasing doctrine of equality of all men”. I’ll take the hypocrites, thank you very much. And I have no problem with flying the flag of the first set of (hypocritical) traitors–especially since the United States did eventually abolish slavery–and rejecting the flag of the open and unashamed Slave Power.

You do not know much about the Constitution of the United States of America, do you? It does not matter what each state calls itself (commonwealth, dominion, etc.), the simple fact is that each of the fifty states in the US is a republic. California, therefore, is a republic and its flag proudly announces that fact.
By the way, your apparent grasp of US history is kind of weak. The American rebels were initially fighting to be treated the way they considered themselves: as Englishmen. England’s stunts, as the rebels saw the situation, were getting more and more egregious in treating them otherwise. Take a moment to peruse this document and then let me know if there’s anything in there that you still do not understand.

OK, I’ll use small words as my Official Liberal Good Deed of the Day (3 points, because octopus is *really *stupid): I totally support the right of anybody to wave, burn or tear to rags any flag they want. In fact, the easier it is to get and display the Flag of Traitors, the easier it is to identify the fuckwits flying it. What I do object to is a state in the Union giving official sanction, in any way, to said Flag of Traitors and Pig Fuckers.
Clear? So wave your flags all you want. It just displays your stupidity and lack of Moral Fiber.
