I’d like to see those put on the backs of the notes, or even historic scenes like the flag raising at Iwo Jima, or Washington crossing the Delaware, from the painting. Actually, the $2 bill has the signing of the Constitution, but as we all know it doesn’t circulate. It amazes and saddens me that any such idea never gained enough traction to become the custom, when what we have now are just austere images of government buildings. It’s the way you would imagine Soviet era Russian money to be…the Palace Of The Soviets on the back of the 5-ruble bill, or whatever.
