I’ve sent emails to newspapers when reporters got hurt while bringing us news. I like to let them know that people know that they have been hurt while doing something incredibly valuable and important, and that I really appreciate their work, their bravery and their sacrifice. Several times I’ve had personal replies from journalists, letting me know that it meant a lot to them to hear that. That was really cool.
