Getting a hair cut: Do you face the mirror or away from it?

Growing up as a military brat, I was used to the base’s $7 “no-frills” cut where you sit and spin for 15-20 minutes as the barber does their best to get your haircut as close to how you want it as possible. I can’t say I’ve ever had a hair cut that I faced one way or another the whole time. Just a bunch of spinning and altitude changes.

Actually, both.
