Getting an angiogram in the morning

Have to be at the hospital at six. If he finds a >70% blockage, he’ll blow up the balloon and ad a stent(s). If that happens I’ll be staying overnight.

Youngest son will be taking me in. Middle son flew in from Colorado and my Mom drove down from Idaho, so I’ll have company. I’m in the fasting stage.

Wish me luck. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Sending healing thoughts your way!

And the thread title directly under this one was “Deep fried BUTTER. Yep, really.”

Good luck! Hospital visits are no fun, but it’ll be over soon!

Luck! Will look forward to hearing back from you that everything went splendidly. Until then, enjoy all that good company.

I hope everything goes smoothly for you. Sending good thoughts your way.

Well, things went smoothly. They didn’t have to blow up the balloon even once. The procedure had been scheduled due to the results of a chemical stress test with some kind of tracer scan. The doctor wondered out loud why the scan had looked bad when the angio looked so good.

So I’m home and I’m shaved and dyed orange in places that no one can see. I’m not really sore anywhere. And I have a list of things I can resume doing in 24 hours and in 7 days. I also have more diet instructions. Not bad. And I now know that I have “a high fork” in my femoral artery.

Thanks for everyone who sent good wishes. It helped.

Woo!

A ‘high fork’, huh?
