Getting approved with wholesale distributors: bad credit

I’ve gotten into the used book trade, and I’ve discovered there are a handful of titles that I would like to order, new, and in quantity at some below-retail price.
Unfortunately, my credit sucks. Like, really sucks. I’d be glad to pay the distributors in question cash or guaranteed equivalent upfront, but they’d have to be completely mad to extend me a line of credit for net 30 purchase.
Have I got a chance of getting approved to purchase from any major distributors and/or publishers?
I’ve not had to buy at the wholesale level since I sold PCs in the late '90s…

I probably don’t know what I’m talking about, so take this with a large grain of salt: if this is for a business, can’t you register your business and use THAT to acquire credit?

Heh.
The business has also had a bankruptcy.
Not a terrible idea, though…

See if any of them accept major credit cards. Then you can purchase prepaid cards from the CC company and use them for purchases.

Many wholesalers accept credit cards and lots of companies use them. I have customers that buy everything wholesale through credit cards for the points/rewards…the rewards and points are far from trivial when you are putting a half million or so each year on the card.
