Arriving 8 am Thusday. Subway is out, takes about an hour and 15 minutes. Should I request an Uber or Lyft when I get off the plane, or wait until in the queue? Haven’t been there since the renovation, seems like I had to walk half a mile to get to cab stand, is it easier now? I think a cab is a $52 flat rate to Manhattan, but would there be tolls or surge pricing?
Umm, which Inwood? The Inwood that is north of Washington Heights in Manhattan and almost in the Bronx? Or the Inwood that is just east of Queens out on the Far Rockaway peninsula close to the JFK airport?
** pauses to think **
I would get an Uber if it were to the Queens / Nassau County Inwood. If it were the Manhattan Inwood, I’d take the M60 bus from LaGuardia to upper Manhattan and transfer at 125th Street to the uptown A.
Manhattan.
I meant to say I’m not taking the bus or subway
Well, I’d probably get an Uber then. I mean, it’s walking distance if the weather’s good and you’ve got the entire afternoon to kill, but it’s a nontrivial hike. There will be yellow cabs but I don’t see much advantage in using them. Surge pricing will hit you either way.
