Getting iTunes onto a Sansa Fuze

I bought a Sansa Fuze for my daughter’s birthday and she really likes it. However, a lot of our music has been bought on iTunes.

So, far, it’s been a pain to get the iTunes music onto the Fuze. I eventually ended up ripping the iTunes music to a CD on Windows Media Player and then downloaded the ripped files onto the Fuze. However, I wasn’t able to get album information or art onto the Fuze. Is there any easy way to do this?

If not, what is the best way to get iTunes onto the player. I don’t really want to subscribe to Rhapsody. And, yes, I could have bought an iPod, but I’m cheap.

Thanks.

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘get iTunes on the Fuze’, but I’m pretty sure you can’t do it. If you want easy syncing from iTunes, you need an iPod.

I’m not sure how best to approach the problem, but when you burn the CDs, are you burning them as audio CDs or MP3? I’ve never had a problem keeping at least artist/album info together on my cheapo Sansa player. (I’m also not using any sort of software, just plain old drag-and-drop).

I think you answered my question. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something.

I used a a CD I had copied to get her songs onto her old Zen player to get them onto the Fuze.

Thanks for the response.

i think the issue you’re describing may be related to digital rights management, aka drm. is the problem that the files purchased from the itunes store are not playable on your sansa or that you want to use itunes to manage content on the device? songs purchased from the online store are locked to your machine, they cannot be played on another system unless that system has been authorized to play back the files. drm is evil.
