Getting rid of McAfee?

At one point, I was using either McAfee or Norton for antivirus software. But when it came to renew the license, I found that the renewal cost was greater than the cost of a brand-new subscription. So I would use the McAfee or Norton removal tool, uninstall the whole thing cleanly and then install a newly purchased license.

What’s this text editor? Wordstar?

In my response I assumed we were talking about XEDIT, which, while there is no (easy) way to run such original IBM software under Linux, has a few clones which will run on various personal computer operating systems. It’s not a Windows original by any means (as you might expect from an editor released in 1980).
